Controller identity

Fitriq (“we”, “us”) is a fitness coaching app operated by Craft Mode. For privacy requests, contact fitriq@hotmail.com. A registered business address can be provided on request via the same email.

Overview

This policy explains what data we collect through the Fitriq mobile apps and related services, how we use it, and the choices available to you. Fitriq includes workouts, meal logging, optional AI-generated plans, optional health sync, and optional watch companions.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Fitriq, we may collect:

• Account data — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers from email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In
• Profile & fitness inputs — goals, experience, schedule, training location/equipment, injuries/limitations, diet preference, age, sex, height, and weight
• App activity — workout plans, workout logs, meal logs, body-weight logs, reminder settings, coach insights, and premium entitlement status
• Device & notifications — push notification tokens and basic device/app diagnostics needed to deliver reminders and improve reliability
• Purchase data — App Store / Google Play transaction identifiers needed to unlock and restore Fitriq Premium (we do not receive your full payment card details)
• Crash & diagnostic data — via Firebase Crashlytics, including crash stacks and device/app context that may be associated with your user id, used to diagnose failures and improve reliability
• Health data (optional) — if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, we read only the types needed for in-app features. On Android (Health Connect) that is active calories burned and body weight. On iOS (Apple Health) that may also include steps, walking/running distance, sleep, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. We never write to Apple Health or Health Connect.

Apple Health / Health Connect

Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. Fitriq only reads data types that power a visible feature, and never writes data back.

• Android (Health Connect) — active calories burned (shown as daily active energy on Progress) and body weight (updates your weight log when Health Connect has a reading)
• iOS (Apple Health) — the Android types above, plus steps, walking/running distance, sleep, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability for coaching insights

Sync is controlled by you through system permissions. When enabled, daily summaries may be stored under your Fitriq account. On Android, active energy and weight are shown on Progress. On iOS, additional metrics may also personalize coaching. Disconnecting or revoking permissions stops further sync; existing summaries remain until you delete them with your account (subject to backups and legal retention described below). You can revoke access at any time in Android Health Connect or iOS Settings → Health.

AI / Google Gemini

When you generate a personalized plan or use the AI coach, relevant profile and activity or health context may be sent to Google Gemini to produce a response. We send only what is needed for the feature.

AI outputs are for general wellness guidance only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Review recommendations carefully and consult a qualified professional when appropriate. See also our Medical & wellness disclaimer.

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Personalize workouts, programs, and (for Premium) AI plans and coaching
• Show daily active energy and keep your weight log in sync when you connect Health Connect or Apple Health
• Sync progress across devices and optional watch companions
• Send workout reminders you enable
• Process and restore in-app purchases
• Diagnose crashes and improve reliability (Crashlytics)
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the product
• Comply with legal obligations

Legal bases (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data under these bases where applicable:

• Contract — to provide the Fitriq service you request (account, plans, logs, purchases)
• Consent — for optional health permissions and similar optional processing; you may withdraw consent by disconnecting health sync or contacting us
• Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and crash diagnostics, balanced against your rights
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose records (for example tax or accounting related to purchases)

How we share information (subprocessors)

We share data with service providers that help us operate Fitriq:

• Google Firebase — Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, and Crashlytics
• Google Gemini — AI plan and coach generation
• Apple / Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchase processing

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Fitriq does not use advertising tracking (NSPrivacyTracking is false).

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate (including the United States and other locations), which may differ from your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA/UK.

Retention

Approximate retention windows:

• Account & activity data — kept while your account is active
• After account deletion — primary user data (including health daily summaries) is removed from live systems; short-term backups may persist for a limited period before automatic expiry
• Purchase records — may be retained as needed for store, tax, and accounting obligations
• Crash logs — retained for a limited diagnostic period under Crashlytics defaults / our configuration

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account. This removes primary user data associated with your account (including health daily summaries) and your Auth user, subject to backups, legal retention, and store purchase records.

Backup contact: email fitriq@hotmail.com from your account email if you cannot complete deletion in-app. See our account deletion page.

Data export / access requests

To request a copy of your data, email fitriq@hotmail.com from your account email. At v1 this is a manual process; we will respond within a reasonable time.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA-CPRA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly defined under CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these rights, email fitriq@hotmail.com. We may need to verify your request. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority where applicable.

Your choices

You can:

• Update profile information in the app (where editing is available)
• Disable workout reminders in Settings
• Connect or disconnect Apple Health / Health Connect in system settings
• Restore or manage purchases through Apple / Google
• Delete your account from Profile → Delete account

Children’s privacy

Fitriq is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact fitriq@hotmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Cookies & similar technologies

Fitriq legal and product pages on craftmode.co are primarily static informational pages. If the broader craftmode.co site sets analytics or similar cookies, those are governed by Craft Mode’s site practices. The Fitriq mobile app itself does not rely on browser cookies for core functionality.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards provided by our cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of Fitriq after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
